One day the Blessed Buddha said to his disciples:
“Let’s sit in silence and keep our eyes open.”
After the time had passed, the Teacher asked:
- How many times have I changed my position?
Some noticed ten changes, some only three, and some claimed that the Teacher remained motionless.
Buddha smiled:
“I changed the position and folds of the clothes seventy-seven times.” Until we learn to distinguish reality, we will not become Arhats.
