Sufi parable from Ghazali They said that Qais Ibada fell ill, and his brothers did not come to him for a long time. They told him: “They are embarrassed because they owe you a lot.” And he replied: “Allah considers it shameful that it prevents brothers from visiting their brother.”
He then ordered a herald to proclaim that everyone who owed money to Qais was now free from debt. And the threshold of his house broke - so great was the number of those who visited him.
